The Silver Lakes Ledger & Helendale Community Update: February 2026

Keeping up with Helendale news can feel like a whirlwind. Consequently, I have summarized the most important updates from the latest Silver Lakes Ledger and the Helendale CSD. Use this guide to stay informed this month.

🗳️ The February 7th Election: Every Vote Counts

The top story this month is the 2026 Board of Directors Election. Currently, ten candidates are running for four open seats. This choice will shape the future of our association.

• The Deadline: You must act quickly if you have not voted yet. Mailed ballots must reach the Inspector of Elections by noon on February 5th.

• In-Person Drop-off: Alternatively, you can drop your signed ballot at the clubhouse or Pro Shop. You must do this by 10:00 AM on February 7th.

• Why it Matters: We strictly need a quorum. Therefore, your vote helps the association avoid the high costs of a postponed election.

❄️ Community Events: Dancing & Touchdowns

Additionally, there are several great ways to connect with your neighbors:

• Daddy Daughter Dance: This event happens on Saturday, Feb 7th, from 5 PM to 8 PM. This year’s theme is the Kingdom of Arendelle.

• Super Bowl Party: Furthermore, you can join the party at the Silver Lakes Restaurant & Lounge. It starts on Sunday, Feb 8th, at 3 PM. Enjoy drink specials and a jersey raffle while you watch the game.

💧 Helendale CSD: Infrastructure & Local News

The Helendale Community Services District (HCSD) also has vital news. While the Ledger focuses on social life, the HCSD manages our essential water and park services.

For instance, the District is now reviewing a 5-Year Capital Improvement Plan. This plan covers nearly $3.8 million in needed wastewater repairs. As a result, our community’s infrastructure will remain reliable for years to come. Also, remember that the District celebrates its 19th Anniversary this April!
